Where is wisdom found in the few or the many?
Hello Rabbi
For some time I have been debating how to determine criteria for this question. There is what is called "the wisdom of the crowds," meaning that it is often useful to consider our steps by examining what most people do and think. On the other hand, it also seems that generally the truly wise are few and often in the minority. Unfortunately, I do not have a specific topic to discuss because the rabbi will probably say that this is too general a question, but perhaps the rabbi has insights on this subject in general, perhaps columns that deal with this?

Look for a column on whether the majority is right and/or the wisdom of crowds.
A really uninteresting question, because I have never debated on any question whether to follow the majority or the minority. Really uninteresting. There are the substantive considerations one way or the other, and if there is no decision then the law of sufficiency. Who ever addresses the question of how many people think one way or another? That is only of interest to the media bores and pollsters.
