Which tractate to study?
Hello Rabbi,
In our yeshiva, they are studying the rabbinical rabbinate next year, but in my class, they are already being directed to study one seder for the rabbinical exams. The study for the exams themselves is only a little before the exam, most of the time they will study the niddah carefully.
I myself am still in the mindset of studying Iyun and developing the study skill, and I was thinking of studying another tractate carefully at this time (something along the lines of Sanhedrin, for example), or another chapter of the Bible. On the other hand, this means that I will have less scope, because the classes and most of the other fellowships will be in Nida. That's why many have told me that it's a shame for me to just get involved, because what's the problem? I want to study another tractate carefully, so I will study Tractate Nida carefully with everyone. But for some reason I have the feeling that Nida is less suitable for developing the classical study skill. Is there really a priority for another tractate or another chapter in the Bible over Nida in this sense or is there really no advantage and it's better to study Nida with everyone?
