I’m very surprised by Your Honor for choosing to withdraw from the ways of the community. All the great rabbis of Israel cried out over the enormous danger to the future of our generations, yet for Your Honor the matter is of no concern.
I don’t know whether this message is serious, but for the record, canceling the kosher number range would not obligate anyone to stop using a kosher phone. The only thing that would happen is that each person would be responsible for himself, and there would be no way to know whether his phone is kosher or not.
A. By the way, it’s not true that there would be no way to know whether his phone is kosher or not. Because the institutions could always (and always did do this) ask the person to show his phones—sorry, his phone—and declare that “it is kosher” (and there’s a solution for that too: two phones, as is the way of Jewish men).
B. I also feel that this whole question is just a softball setup…
