Hello Rabbi,
I wanted to ask what you think about proofs for a particular religion based on an unusual victory or exceptional influence on humanity.
For example, during Muhammad's time the Muslims had tremendous and highly improbable victories against states and empires. In their view, this constitutes strong evidence that their religion is true—both because of the rapid spread of the faith and the power of their military victories. What do you think about that? (The advantage is that these events were supposedly "marked out" by the prophet, and their a priori probability—that a few peasants would defeat empires—was low.)
Christians also have a similar claim, but among the Muslims it is much more significant.
