Lately I’ve come across a few articles by sensible scientists on the subject of free choice, and the conclusion seems to be that today neuroscience proves that everything is predetermined and everything is theoretically predictable.
To be precise, that’s not entirely accurate—they argue that almost everything is predictable. That is, there is free choice, but it is very limited, almost imperceptible.
So conceptually there is free choice, but on the practical level it hardly finds expression at all. Does the Rabbi agree with that?
