Is a divorced woman allowed to avoid mentioning that she is divorced in the course of matchmaking, and reveal it only after the second date?
In addition, for the sake of concealing it, is she allowed to state on her profile that she is single? Or is she only allowed not to disclose that she is divorced, but without stating that she is single?
Answer
I think not. This is a very significant parameter. If they happen to meet casually, then of course there is no obligation to mention it. But if they are setting up a meeting for the purpose of getting acquainted with marriage in mind, it is proper to disclose relevant information in advance. To say that she is single is a lie. If she does not mention anything, there is no lie here.
