Choice and Faith
Question
Hello Rabbi,
I recently listened to your lecture series on Torah and science (https://m.soundcloud.com/mikyabchannel/sets/swzabsi1quuv), in which you argued that a person should investigate all the sources of information available to him in order to reach a conclusion about whether he believes, and that faith itself is already embedded in a person, within his intuitions (I hope I haven’t distorted your words). Is choice also involved here? That is, can a person “want” to believe, and should/can that affect his search for the truth?
Thank you
