Seemingly, there are very good arguments for the Haredi approach in terms of wasting time and the possibility of making up the secular studies afterward, as you mentioned in the responsum. And that is also what I see with my own eyes from people around me. And that is also how you actually conducted yourself.
On the other hand, you wrote that nowadays you are uncertain about this.
I would be happy to hear what your view is today, and why!

Obviously I am not talking about cases of people for whom specifically one type of framework suits them and the other framework would not suit them. In line with the idea that a person only learns from a place that his heart desires.
