Question
I read the column about the budget law and the World Cup, and in the spirit that rested upon our teacher while writing the article, an absolutely, absolutely tremendous question arose for me regarding our teacher’s approach to God’s intervention in our actions nowadays in this galaxy.
As is well known, “Sabbath” is an acronym for “On Sabbath, borscht you shall drink.”
But the counsel of the evil inclination prevailed, and in recent generations they exchanged their glory for the image of a black drink—Coca-Cola or Crystal-Cola—for the elders of the remnant.
So what did the Creator do?
He put it into the heart of the Finance Minister to decree a “decree” specifically on cola drinks and the like. And wonder of wonders, lo and behold, on the grapes of the vine and on the borscht—our ancestors’ custom—he did not decree.
And the Jewish people are returning in their masses to drink specifically borscht, and specifically in reusable cups.
Is this not a sign and wonder of God’s intervention in our lives and in our times, even in the clauses of governmental decrees, so that we may return to cleaving to the drink-feast of our ancestors?

Maybe. I don’t have a better explanation for the policy of the emerging coalition.
Blessed are You who has kept us alive, sustained us, and brought us to this time. A much simpler proof of divine intervention has now been revealed. Messi said, “I knew God would bring me this gift,” and as is well known, Messi is God himself. Which was to be proven. The whole trilogy goes in the trash. Forgive us, Rabbi.
