Good evening, Rabbi,
For the past several years I’ve been listening to your lectures almost every day, reading posts, and I’m in the middle of the second book of the trilogy.

A question about a “hidden miracle” that takes place within nature.
According to your definition, if an event is supposed to conclude in accordance with the laws of nature, then any intervention by the Holy One, blessed be He, that changes this is an outright miracle.
A person’s free choice is not subject to the laws of nature.
A stone falls, and according to the laws of nature it will reach the ground.
I, by free choice, stretch out my hand and prevent it from continuing to fall.
That is not considered a “miracle” and not a breaking of the laws of nature.
Why, then, if the Holy One, blessed be He, intervenes by His choice, would that be considered a miracle—that is, a deviation from the laws of nature?
How is that different from what I did?
I’d be happy for a clarification.
