Question

Hello, Rabbi,
I read your view on the issue of divine attributes, that you do not see this as a problem in the way those do who deny attributes of God.
But they argue that attributes create multiplicity in God (I’m embarrassed to admit that I don’t really manage to understand this), because for example I, Yosef, am one person, and I sometimes have mercy—does that make me two entities? I didn’t understand them, but I assume that’s due to my limited wisdom…
I do understand that to say that God is merciful is basically to describe Him in a kind of human way, because it is a trait in the human soul; from that angle I understand it better… but that is not multiplicity, only a comparison to a human being…

But how would you answer the multiplicity that this is supposed to create (as I said, I also do not fully understand their claim)?…
