Question

Good afternoon,

I’m sure the Rabbi will have a lot to say about this…
What’s mainly difficult for me is: 1) Isn’t this the most activist ruling there is? To note: this isn’t a secular school with no gender separation (although even there the ruling would be activist).
2) I have no problem with a man deciding that he is a woman, but how is it possible that at such an age he knows this? Doesn’t that prove that there really is a male soul and a female soul (and in any case prove that there is a soul)? And if you say that the concept of woman and man derives only from the culture that defines them, then why do they need to define themselves as one of them? Let him simply continue to be considered a boy who likes dolls, etc.
