Discussion on Answer
It’s simply not true that most movies are devoted to that. There are hardly any movies that are devoted to that.
Okay, fine, but in a movie that really is specifically about that?
Forbidden. That’s the point of it, not something you happen to pass by on the way.
P.S. I asked Google what percentage of videos are specifically about that; here was the answer!
What percent of movies are about love?
Using an unbiased sample of 100 Hollywood films between 1915 and 1960, David Bordwell, Janet Staiger and Kristin Thompson found that love was an element of 85 percent of the group of films, while 95 percent had romance as a dominant part of their plot.
Yaanky.
1. These are films made between 1915 and 1960, definitely a romantic period and not representative.
2. Their conclusion was about “elements” in a film, not films devoted to that.
3. What exactly is forbidden about a romantic plot? You should have asked about films devoted to erotica and sexuality.
My filter blocks searching for the word “sex,” so I couldn’t …
You could have searched instead for movies that mention a table or a dove. If you can’t search for SEX, there’s no point in searching for something else.
hahaha!
Really, it isn’t in keeping with my exalted dignity, but I enjoyed it very much, so it’s just not good to refrain from things for no reason.
Thanks, but if the movie is specifically about that (which is true of a noticeable share of movies today), is there still a leniency?
