Is there any value in loving secular heretics who publicly desecrate the Sabbath, whose status is like that of idolaters? And also, should one feel sorrow at their death?

Absolutely. One should love every Jew. The heretics of our time are, in the overwhelming majority, like captured children.

The Haredim, poor things, have also been captured into Haredism instead of Judaism.
They aren’t entirely intentional sinners.
It is fitting to pity them, have compassion on them, and pray for them.
(For the time being, also to support them, heal them, protect them—and in return they spit on the Jewish people as a whole.)
And with God’s help they will return to Judaism someday,
because none who are banished will remain banished from Him.
Why doesn’t this apply to Haredim too? Aren’t they also like captured children? That’s how it is—you are born into a community and are sure that all the truth is on your side. ?

Why are they captured children?! They know nothing about Judaism.
“When the wicked perish, there is joyous song” is what is written! Public Sabbath-desecrating heretics—the Holy One, blessed be He, hates them. There is no reason at all to mourn their death (except, as it is written, that one should sing joyfully and rejoice, as stated in Sanhedrin that they make a feast when a religious court executes transgressors).

You do have a good reason to cry over the death of secular people: less money will go into your pocket and into the pockets of the other parasites.
I don’t live in Israel; I have no connection whatsoever to the State of Israel (except that I’ve been there a few times).
