I’ve been asked this more than once, and I always answer that I don’t have an answer. Each person has their own taste, way of thinking, and areas of interest. Start reading and let your own taste lead you.
I’ll just add that I don’t recommend studying the thought of any particular person in depth. Ideas and writings are tools for forming positions of your own. Philosophical knowledge is not very important in my view. Skill, very much so.
