Q&A: Money 💸 from an Illegal Pool
Money 💸 from an Illegal Pool
Question
A tough guy built a pool in the yard of his house and rents out its use for money 💸 to others.
The neighbors are bothered by the noise (families rent it, with piles of kids, all kinds of children’s organizations, etc.),
the smells,
and the area was meant to be a private garden and has become a nuisance.
Needless to say, it’s illegal, not up to code, and so on.
He decided to come to an arrangement with the neighbors and told them that when there are no renters, they can come and enjoy it free of charge 💸, and that way they won’t complain about what he’s doing.
They agreed and accepted.
I’m not so enthusiastic about the place, the cleanliness, and so on.
Am I allowed to trade this permission?
To bring in other people with me and charge them money 💸?
Only then would I benefit.
Just getting wet in dirty water doesn’t do anything for me, and it’s not compensation for the neighbor’s antics.
Answer
I don’t think so. If you didn’t agree that this was permitted to you, then it’s forbidden. You didn’t receive his permission for that. Of course, you can choose not to agree to this arrangement and complain to the authorities.
For the honorable gentleman, with his pool and his songgggg,
there is no blessing
in money from a pool
that isn’t up to code.
And no song comes out of something not up to code either.
Usually, it’s sorrow…
