Question

I grew up in a Haredi home, and today I am secular. In terms of decision-making and earning a living, my mother was fairly equal to my father, but when it came to Torah education, there was a kind of absolute prohibition on both the daughters and the mother learning, teaching, or even coming near Torah topics. I wanted to ask whether, from a halakhic-Torah perspective, now that women already earn a living, study, and are in a fairly equal position to men, hasn’t the time come for Haredi society, and even the religious world more broadly, to wake up and begin to be more egalitarian in the area of Torah education?
