1. I’m currently in a place that is 6 hours behind Israel.
When it’s 13:00 for me, it’s 19:00 for you.
And I’m flying tomorrow at 17:00, but when I land at home it will already be 8:00 the next morning.
So I’m going to miss tomorrow’s Hanukkah candle lighting.
Can I appoint you, for example, as my agent to light for me, even though when you light for me in Israel at night, say at 19:00, for me it will still only be 13:00, meaning the previous day?
2. I signed up for a subscription somewhere at a cost of 100 NIS per month.
After three months I wanted to cancel the subscription.
The representative there told me that wasn’t possible because it was a subscription with a commitment.
Without a commitment, the price is 200 NIS per month.
I’m almost sure — I have a slight doubt, but I’m almost sure — that the representative did not inform me about this difference when I signed up for the subscription. If he had told me, I would have chosen the 200 NIS option without a commitment.
Can I require them to cancel the subscription for me, or am I obligated to continue paying for the subscription for the full 12-month commitment period, since I already started paying under those terms?

1. You need to light in your own home, so appointing an agent will not help. In my opinion, you are exempt.
