Question

You can imagine that four colored balls are placed before us on a table, and we are asked to choose one of them. When we choose one of the balls, a believer in God comes along and shows us a fifth ball that he had hidden behind his back, gives us a hard whack on the hand with a stick, and yells at us: why didn’t you choose this one?
So how could we have chosen the fifth ball if it was hidden behind his back? How could we have chosen to believe in God, if He hides and conceals Himself from us?
