Could the Radical Left End Up Dictating History? And Maybe It Already Has, in Part?
Question
In global left-wing circles, Israel is committing genocide; this is no longer just an interpretation but an established fact. Based on that, two questions arise:
A. Could it happen that a chapter enters history under the title “The Genocide in Gaza”?
B. Could it be that some of history and some of what we take as truth are actually progressive left-wing rewritings? For example, the genocide in California, and that of the other indigenous peoples in the U.S. Maybe in fact the Americans were defending themselves exactly the way Israel is doing in Gaza, and the progressive camp decided that it was genocide? Is the power of progressivism really that strong even when it comes to rewriting history?
Answer
The power of paranoia is greater than the power of the progressives. There are history-rewriters of every kind and variety. It seems to me that in our own Jewish tradition you can find some of the greatest history-rewriters on earth.
