Q&A: The Righteousness of Hitler, May His Name Be Blotted Out
The Righteousness of Hitler, May His Name Be Blotted Out
Question
Hello Rabbi Michi!
Happy Wednesday (as much as possible).
You once said you were willing to talk about whether Hitler, may his name be blotted out, was right or not.
I hope you won’t see this as trolling, and if you do, feel free to delete it.
Have you come across / dealt with arguments that tried to convince you that he was right, and refuted them?
Obviously his ideology is racist, but why is it not correct?
Answer
No.
It is not correct because his race is not superior in any way, and because it is forbidden to murder others even if they are inferior. It’s a bit strange that this needs to be explained.
Discussion on Answer
It’s possible he was the greatest philosopher of all time. But those two principles are refuted. Everything else can be for the glory of the State of Israel.
It’s possible that his ideas were a bit more complex.
