Not long ago, Rabbi Uri Sharki said regarding his son – who came out of the closet and said he wanted to start a family (let's assume he meant a spouse) – that he needed to repent.
Does the rabbi think there is room for a response to the tendency? Perhaps a person really has a responsibility to suppress their tendencies as much as possible.
If a person needs to make a confession about wanting to start a family with a man? Maybe he is. He needs to work on his desire somehow or maybe the desire is not significant

I assume he also didn't mean a rebuttal about the inclination. One does not and should not make a rebuttal about facts and inclinations, but about forbidden acts.
