God's knowledge of the future

שו"תGod's knowledge of the future
שאל לפני 4 שנים

Hello Rabbi
I saw in one of the lessons that you said that God cannot know the future until an actual choice has been made, and that this does not detract from His power, etc.
I wanted to know how this fits with the following verse:
And he said to Abram, "Know for certain that your seed will be a stranger in a land that is not theirs, and they will serve them and afflict them four hundred years."
And also the nation that they will serve, I will judge, and afterward they will come out with great wealth.
And you will return to your fathers in peace, and you will be buried in a good burial.

You can ask about all the prophecies. Two possibilities: 1. There are situations in which He takes away the choice from people and then He has the power to know the future. 2. He predicts what is likely to happen, but it can change (as the Shelah writes in his 'House of Choice').
