Karaites in a different way

שו"תKaraites in a different way
שאל לפני 9 שנים

Hello Rabbi,
To the extent that someone believes that the only reason they believe in the Torah is because of the fulfillment of the prophecies in the Bible,
And not because of tradition at all or any other factor.
According to him, the tradition is false because it includes a resident.
And certainly the Toshab'a is not correct, as it often contradicts the written Torah.
Moreover, we cannot rely on tradition alone, as we have seen that there are peoples who have passed on miracles through tradition, such as Muhammad crossing the moon, and many more. So we see that lies can be transmitted through tradition.

So how does the Rabbi think that a person who believes in the Torah only because of the prophecies will also believe in the Toshab'a?!

If a person does not believe in tradition, then he does not believe in tradition. You ask how a person who does not believe in tradition can believe in it? A contradictory question that has no answer. If a person has not decided that he does not believe but is in a situation where he is asking himself, then perhaps it is possible to think of one way or another.
