1. This seems like a strange name to me. Is there any point to it? Explanation?
2. Is Karnevo the grandmother or the grandfather?
3. Why does the Midrash even write her name? Why is it so important?

I have no idea. I don't usually engage in Aggadah Kaach midrashim. In general, they don't seem important and/or instructive to me.
