Pacifist
Hello Michi,
I consider myself a pacifist and have a hard time with the idea of joining the army and owning a weapon, even as training.
In my opinion, according to the categorical imperative, if everyone in the world refused to own weapons, the world would be a better place. In line with this mindset, I am supposed to enlist but want to avoid military service. I wanted to hear your opinion since I value your opinions on various issues.
thanks
spring

If you are talking about feelings, that is one thing, and if these are views, that is another. Feelings should be tried and overcome. If this is a view, then I do not understand it. You think we should commit suicide and that is it?! Our enemies are not pacifists. So what do you suggest? If everyone refused to possess weapons, the world would be much better, but what can be done if there is no such agreement?! So you suggest committing suicide in the name of the categorical imperative? A strange view. Or do you trust others to do the work for you and you will remain a righteous pacifist? If you would like to discuss something, I would be happy to receive some logical explanation for this strange collection of things.
