Question

While learning with my son, may he live and be well, we were unsure about the definition of weekday-type activities.
After all, any act that is done on the Sabbath is not a weekday-type activity,
and any act that is not a forbidden labor but that one nevertheless refrains from doing on the Sabbath is a weekday-type activity.
So if we do the act, from that moment on it becomes a Sabbath act—proper, fitting, and appropriate.
Maybe the question is better asked regarding the conduct of a community and the like, and less regarding an individual or a family.
