Determinism and Norton's Dome

שו"תDeterminism and Norton's Dome

You wrote (in the context of free will) that the laws of "normal" (non-quantum) nature are deterministic.
I recently read about the "Norton Dome" – a thought experiment that demonstrates a very simple Newtonian system that is not deterministic.

I would love to hear your opinion.
thanks!

I didn't know. Amazing. Worth thinking about. Of course it's always possible that the mathematical description of Newton's laws is not the correct description, at least for such extreme cases. That is, it's mathematically possible but not physically. The first thought that came to my mind was that the top of the pyramid has a pointed tip (not a cutting edge). In nature, such a thing cannot occur, so it is essentially an impossible case.
