Question

When I heard your view regarding the absolute non-causality of free choice, I was reminded that I once saw in Rabbi Israel Vintroib’s book Nefesh Eliyahu (p. 11, note 17), in the name of Rabbi Meir Gabbai (a kabbalist from the fifteenth century), similar ideas regarding the comparison of choice to the creation of the world ex nihilo.
