I seem to remember that I once brought the more halakhic article, and there was a discussion here about it and about some minor inaccuracies in it. I haven’t found it now.

It’s not only because of concern about ritual impurity. There is a prohibition on erotic thoughts in itself as well, both because it leads to sexually forbidden acts, and apparently also intrinsically (“to keep yourself far from every evil thing”).

What is the problem with a woman having erotic thoughts? Erotic thoughts are forbidden because of concern about ritual impurity at night, and that doesn’t apply to a woman.
