Is it permitted to upload a post to Facebook knowing that people will respond to it on the Sabbath?
Answer
I see no reason to forbid it. You upload a post, and the response will come whenever it comes. Whoever decides to respond on the Sabbath is making his own decision.

No. First, this is not a case of "two sides of the river," meaning that without you the transgression could not be committed. Second, at most you are causing him to respond. The decision of when to respond is his.
By the same token, one could ask whether you are allowed to employ a secular person and pay him a salary. With that money he might desecrate the Sabbath and eat non-kosher food.

From the standpoint of "and you shall do what is right and good," is it proper to do this?

In my opinion there is no problem with this at all. There is no need whatsoever to avoid Facebook just because there are sinners. It is a legitimate and useful tool, and my own life takes precedence.
Does "do not place a stumbling block" not apply here? I'm asking out of ignorance.
