Hello Rabbi,
I wanted to know your opinion about postponing a wedding that has already been set. (Not for such a major reason, for example because of the coronavirus…)
I’m not asking from an economic standpoint, of course, but rather whether this is something that makes sense. I heard that the Jewish people did not have the custom of doing this because of divine providence connected to the date, various mystical reasons and the like… What do you think about that?

I don’t think there are such mystical considerations. What’s needed is common sense, and that’s all. Of course it is preferable not to postpone something that has already been set, and it’s also not advisable to delay formalizing your relationship once the decision has already been made. But if there are circumstances that justify it, I don’t see a problem with postponing.
