Q&A: The Dirty Ones Who Ruin the Lives of the Clean Ones
The Dirty Ones Who Ruin the Lives of the Clean Ones
Question
Once, many years ago, someone would come to the school, check the children’s heads, and hand out a card:
A or A/B or B or C.
A meant a clean head.
B meant a head with a few eggs.
B meant a lot of eggs.
C meant lice too.
Anyone who got a C couldn’t return to school without a note from the nurse saying they were clean.
That way parents could live normally, making sure to send only clean boys and girls to school.
Today, supposedly out of pity for the neglected ones, in practice you’re not allowed to tell a parent that their child is infecting the preschool teacher or the teacher and all the classmates.
And the whole public suffers…
Instead of putting the kids to bed peacefully, you have to invest a huge amount of time cleaning heads. The kids cry, the whole house is frustrated, one of the parents is shut down for a few hours every evening without exaggeration. Disgusting. And treatments that cost a lot are no longer effective for some of the variants…
Maybe it’s time to go back to sanity?
Whoever is dirty shouldn’t come to school, period…
Really, how much can everyone else be expected to invest so that nobody gets offended? And the dirty ones take advantage of it, and some of them say outright that in their eyes it’s not a problem. And whoever is disgusted can just deal with it….
Answer
I know of a different reality. They definitely do speak up and also send children home. Sometimes maybe there is consideration for people who have difficulties for various reasons; I don’t know.
Discussion on Answer
I have no advice other than to check whether it’s actually illegal. In my opinion it’s definitely legal, and I know that with my grandchildren they do this.

More power to you.
I understand that they can’t be kept away and the child’s head can’t be checked, and basically what there is is to discreetly notify the parent [who is ignoring it] and notify welfare services…
Suppose someone appoints himself director-general of the Ministry of Education. Is it permissible to offend him and tell him no, that he is not the director-general?
Suppose he comes to the director-general’s office. Is it permissible to offend him and remove him by force from the office?
Which is to say, there are other interests at work here, and it’s not because of concern for the dignity of neglectful parents, as the swindlers present it to the naive.
The teachers and preschool teachers say it’s not even legal to say anything to the parents…
I don’t know what to do.
Any advice?
