How would you recommend checking those claims?
Because if they’re right, there may really be a genuine injustice here.

Oh, come on. The Rabbi has no idea….. I was in my twenties during the disengagement, and everyone remembers the demonstrations and the police enforcement against blocking roads. Back then the Attorney General’s legal adviser didn’t say that only a demonstration that breaks the law (disrupts public order) is a real demonstration… We heard those pearls from the current legal adviser, whose remarks you yourself justified….

Natan-Zada was born and raised in Rishon LeZion. Before his enlistment in the IDF, he twice refused to report for mandatory service because of his opposition to the disengagement plan, and was placed under arrest. He was drafted into the IDF on January 3 of that year and sent for basic training at the Nitzanim camp. During his service he refused to take part in setting up the Re’im camp, as part of the preparations for the disengagement. On June 14 he left his base and deserted together with his personal weapon. At the entrance gate to the base, Natan-Zada left a letter: “Just as I could not obey an order telling me to desecrate the Sabbath, so too I cannot be part of an organization that expels Jews.” He also added the words “A Jew does not expel a Jew,” and ended the letter with the words: “I will consider the continuation of my service.”
