Midot Harash Lesson 5
Hello, Your Honor. The Rabbi says that according to the Rambam's method, we learn from the word six that the scripture changed the law to delay making them six threads, only in garments that are explicitly written to make them six, and this is because according to his method, the sermon expands and does not reveal, and therefore, because the law: the scripture changed the law to delay, applies only to garments of six threads according to the Torah , it does not apply to cloth garments.
According to the Rambam, the last word shesh requires that the law of making them from six threads is a hindrance because the scripture changed it to hinder it. So from what I understand, according to the Rambam, the law changed it to hinder it also hinders the rabbinic laws. Therefore, even though it is not written in the Torah (according to the Rambam) in the six-thread cloth, there is a rabbinic law from the word shesh that they must also be made from six threads, so why does the scripture 'shesh' (the last one) not hinder this law in them as well? In other words, we must learn from the last word shesh that the law: 'Even in a place where it is written only cloth and not six, make them six threads,' is a hindrance.
Thank you very much for all the investment and educational lessons!
