Thank you for existing.
Peace and blessings to the Honorable (Rabbi) Michael (Mickey) Avraham.
Wow
Just wow
Now I saw that you have an amazing blog and it was just great.
It's great to know that the person whose two books I read
God plays dice
and the sciences of freedom
Books that I really enjoyed
Of course I didn't agree with everything.
But I enjoyed it.
Thought-provoking
Clarity and sharpness
The pure intellectual
Honesty and sincerity
So here this rabbi exists and is active.
He has books on many topics that fascinate me.
Alive and kicking
And it was just wow to me.
I will tell you a little about myself.
Within the (small) yeshiva, I began to develop a hatred for the GM.
I couldn't stand all sorts of things that I saw as distortions.
(For example, a bull that is born is subject to lesser protection and a bull that is not born is subject to greater protection, BK 40:
The extended rule of his owner with him on steroids to the level of exemption from the crime of the guardian of the BM chapter of the questioner
A Gentile was killed for less than the value of a penny – Medjal, may God have mercy on him. He who sheds the blood of man against man, his blood shall be shed, the judgment shall be upon all of him. Sanhedrin 57.
and more and more…)
I remember myself studying the endings and just wanting to throw her against the wall with so much hate and rage.
(Of course there were also psychological aspects to this on the part of God who demands impossible perfection from you.
And I am terribly disappointed in you that you do not stand by this integrity.)
I remember a certain period in the session.
I went to talk to my yeshiva head.
And I offered him all my bitterness about the illogical and unjust G.M.
He scolded me (and not without a little justice)
told me
I understand you want to be Sadducee.
Okay, no problem, when you grow up, you can be a Sadducee if you want.
But now take a few years to study well and know what 'Phariseeism' actually is.
Then you will decide on your steps.
They finally arrived a few years after the wedding.
In which I retired from the kollel
Then I decided it was time to examine my beliefs.
I began a long journey that took several steps.
In the end, I came to the conclusion that I had no reason to believe
That the Torah is true
There was a divine revelation at Mount Sinai.
(One of the things that bothered me the most was the 300-year gap
Immediately after the giving of the Torah and the death of Joshua to Eli the priest
Years when our ancestors were mostly pagans and idolaters
conquered by other nations)
