To aggravate and alleviate as a matter of routine

שו"תTo aggravate and alleviate as a matter of routine
שאל לפני 10 שנים

Hello Rabbi Michi,

I wrote an article similar and different from your " Between Kula and Gomara ," and I referred to your words.

I tried to explain the concepts simply (and without many sources, as you provided) and show how they relate to all areas of life, and not just the halachic Shekla and Tariya.

It seems to me that our definitions of sound and volume are quite close, and I'm interested in what you think.

Have a nice day.

Thanks for the beautiful article. Two main comments that came to my mind: 1. Regarding your main conclusion about the virtue of combining halakhic categories of observation in everyday life, see Rabbi Yuval Charlo's article in one of the first issues of Tzohar in which he speaks about deciding on the spiky in life according to the rules of halakhic decision-making (Sho"t is preferable, the ma'ma', Shuda Dedayani, all da'lim gber, yaha mohan, yaha'loko, etc.). 2. I was unable to distinguish between the different meanings of homra and kola in your words. I did not find any place where my definition did not apply (homra opens up fewer possible paths than kola). Even when you gave two different definitions or different applications, they did not seem different to me. In particular, in the opening paragraph, where you distinguished between a situation of sorting out the parties in a dispute (the one who forbids is the stricter) and a decision in doubt (for homra and kola). All the best and good luck,
