Q&A: The World Follows Its Natural Course
The World Follows Its Natural Course
Question
How does the Rabbi explain all the explicit statements about a complete correlation between observing Jewish law and the way the world operates naturally—such as karet, the sota, the section “And it shall come to pass, if you surely listen,” the blessings and curses, long life as a result of honoring parents and sending away the mother bird? And even more than that, why wouldn’t God intervene in the world He created? (Not that we understand the motive for creation, but it is very strange that God would just ignore the world He created like that.) And likewise, the Rabbi agrees that in the past there were interventions, so why should that change?
Answer
I’ve explained this countless times.
