Question

I grew up with parents who were very strict religiously, and in other ways too, who bombarded me with fears and similar things. After a lot of therapy I reached a certain peace, and suddenly I feel that my mind has “opened up”—all kinds of things I couldn’t understand before, I suddenly do understand, like mathematics, physics, and so on.
Is there some name / definition for this kind of “opening up the mind”? Because I want to understand it better.
